The Amazing Wines of Paolo BeaThe MW’s Table is a brand-new tasting series designed to offer a casual yet informative setting to break bread (and wine!) with New Jersey’s only Master of Wine—our very own Chris Cree. Each session will feature a curated selection of unique wines showcasing regions, growers, and grape varieties from around the world that we are truly excited to share.
For our second session, we’ll dive into the world of Paolo and Giampiero Bea, legendary winemakers who have been crafting wines from the humble region of Umbria and now have a worldwide cult following. References in the archives of Montefalco, the beautiful hill town in Umbria, document the presence of the Bea family in this locality as early as 1500, and today Azienda Agricola Paolo Bea remains a classic Italian fattoria, producing wine, raising farm animals for trade and home consumption, and working the land to produce olives, fruits, and vegetables.
We'll taste through four amazing wines, each a unique expression of the Bea experience that you can pair with selections from our menu a la carte.
Tickets are $75 (plus tax and gratuity) and include a three-ounce pour of each featured wine. You’re then welcome to open a tab and order anything you like from our à la carte menu or wine lists—we’ll be happy to offer pairing suggestions to complement the wines.
